The In the Garden of Eden Ceramic Vase from the Magritte Collection by Leti Ceramics is a handmade sculptural vase that combines Magritte-inspired mystery with the colour and abundance of an imaginary garden.
A vivid red apple conceals the face of the bowler-hatted figure, while branches, leaves and fruit spread across his pale blue jacket. The familiar surrealist portrait becomes a decorative story about nature, temptation and the boundary between what is visible and what remains hidden.
Hand-formed in semi-porcelain and painted entirely by hand, the vase functions as both a flower vessel and a collectible ceramic art object.
Form & Symbolic Silhouette
The figure’s formal pose creates a strong, balanced silhouette. The sculpted apple and leaves project beyond the face, disrupting the symmetry and drawing attention towards the centre of the composition.
